The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals – SPCA ‘for short’ – aims to protect all animals from cruelty, neglect and ill treatment that often results from ignorance of animals and their needs.

When we say 'all' animals, we mean exactly that – from pet dogs, cats and rabbits to farm animals, poultry and even wildlife. Living up to our mission necessitates the work of many different units within the SPCA, which together ensure that animal rights are protected.

At the SPCA, every horse, rabbit, rooster, cow, pig, tortoise, dog and cat – any animal – is treated with care and compassion. If you’re looking for a furry friend to adopt, please check out our Adoptions page. There are always dogs, cats, horses (and sometimes, other species) in need of loving, secure homes.

  • To maintain and protect animal and bird life in their natural habitats;
  • To educate the entire community with regard to the humane treatment of animals and compassion for them.
