IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Although we vaccinate, de-worm and check all pets before they go to their new homes, we regrettably cannot guarantee that they will not be harboring an illness that has not yet manifested itself.

We urge you to consult your Vet and inform him/her that you intend adopting a dog/cat from the SPCA and ask him/her to check that your pets' vaccinations are up to date.

It is also strongly recommended that you ask your Vet to give an additional vaccination for snuffles.

In the case of a kitten, we advise that you wait for a month after the third vaccination before adopting a new animal.

There is a very large prevalence of FELINE AIDS and LEUKEMIA in the cat population. Our vet strongly recommends that you have your cat tested. Please note that an accurate test can only done at the age of six months.
